Anemometers & Flowmeters
The Amprobe TMA-us.htmlHW hot-wire anemometer measures air flow volume and velocity, has a telescopic probe for positioning the sensor, and is used by HVAC/R technicians to measure wind flow and temperature in air conditioning systems. The hot-wire sensor eliminates moving parts for more consistent results. Air velocity is measured in feet per minute (ft/min), and meters per second (m/s), knots (KNT), kilometers per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph). Air flow volume is measured in in cubic meters per second (CMS) and cubic feet per minute (CFM). The dual-scale thermistor temperature sensor measures temperature in F and C. The meter has minimum, maximum, average, and hold functions for recording data. The meter requires six AAA batteries (included), and includes a hard-sided carrying case, and instructions.
Specifications

| Duct size | 1 to 250 inches in increments of 0.1 (1 to 635 cm in increments of 0.1) |
| Air flow range | Actual range is a function of actual velocity and duct size |
| Air temperature range | 14 to 140 degrees F (-10 to 60 degrees C) |
| Air temperature accuracy | + or - 0.9 degrees F (0.5 degree C) |
| Wet bulb range | 32 to 140 degrees F (0 to 60 degrees C) |
| Dew point range | 32 to 131 degrees F (0 to 55 degrees C) |
| Operating environment | 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C) at less than 80 percent relative humidity |

H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.
Anemometers measure air speed, and in some cases airflow and air direction. They are used in field and lab applications.
Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA
